The new "TASKFORCE
GUIDELINES"
"TASKFORCE GUIDELINES" are necessary
in order to keep the taskforce efficient. If you do not agree with certain
points of these guidelines, directly contact the AGLA. |

Questions: Because of the
many co-authors in certain papers: questions to the coordinator should
only be addressed, when your attentive study of the subjects at hand are
really unclear in your mind. I cannot respond to other request, so
please help yourself, it's all in our internet communication tool, just read
it
-
Submission rules: co-authorship is
dependent on sufficient collaboration within a paper, you all know the
international guidelines
-
Role of first author: Responsible author for publication, answers
to reviewers and correspondence with the publishing organs is the first
author.
-
Internet communication tools:
-
The submission page contains all the
necessary information that allows co-authors to understand, what her or
his actions may be.
-
Please
check on the "status" field, that you find on the "submissions" page, what
action is required for a certain paper, open the pdf and send your
comments to
info@kardiolab.ch.
-
If you wish to enter your corrections in a
doc file, open the zip file at the beginning of the "submissions" page.
-
Next meeting: The meeting in September 2009 is cancelled. The next meeting will be held in November
2009; more details are underway. It is somehow disturbing, when we try to
contact you in order to organize a meeting and 80% of the invitees do not
respond. Please help us to improve our efficiency.

Thank You for Your collaboration

- The
AGLA has decided to rename the Taskforce from "Vascular Risk
Prediction" to "Atherosclerosis Imaging". The focus for the
year 2009 will be: relative importance of carotid and coronary
non-invasive imaging for risk assessment in asymptomatic subjects. Role of
emerging imaging modalities as incremental information on top of global
risk charts.
- The former Taskforce on vascular risk
prediction has submitted 3 "position" papers on a) how to judge the incremental value
of an emerging new test with statistics, b) the value of testing for
ischemia in primary care and c) the value of ultrasound based plaque
imaging as a further risk stratification tool in primray care. These 3
papers are currently under the reviewing process.
- We thank all participants in the former
Taskforce on Vascular Risk Prediction and welcome the new "Taskforce
on Atherosclerosis Imaging", which will have his first meeting soon
next year.
Best!
